Day to day description
Day 1: Kunming
Upon arrival in Kunming, you’ll meet your guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at leisure, adjusting to the new time zone and exploring the local area.
Day 2: Kunming
Embark on a full-day trip to the Stone Forest, a unique natural wonder of limestone formations. Marvel at the incredible scenery and learn about the geology and history of the site from your guide.
Day 3: Dali
Board the high-speed day train from Kunming to Dali (D8696, 1016-1220). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Dali without a guide. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the ancient town or relaxing by the lake.
Day 4: Dali
Explore the morning local market in Xizhou and visit the Bai minority residence. Later, take a boat trip on Erhai Lake to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and villages
Day 5: Shaxi
Transfer from Dali to Shaxi without a guide. Check-in at your hotel in Shaxi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the ancient town or hiking in the nearby hills.
Day 6: Shaxi
Enjoy a free day to explore the ancient town of Shaxi at your own pace. Visit the local temples, stroll through the old streets, or hike to the nearby Shibao Mountain
Day 7: Lijiang
Transfer from Shaxi to Lijiang without a guide. Check-in at your hotel in Lijiang. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the ancient town or hiking in the nearby hills.
Day 8: Lijiang
In the morning, visit Zhongyi market in the ancient town and experience the local way of life. Then, bike to Baisha old town with an English-speaking guide. Entrance fees for Baisha frescoes are not included.
Day 9: Lijiang
Enjoy a free day to explore Lijiang according to your preferences. Visit the Black Dragon Pool, climb up to the Lion Hill for panoramic views of the town, or take a cooking class to learn about local cuisine.
Day 10: Tiger Leaping Gorge
Begin a 2-day private trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Transfer to Lijiang bus station to take a local bus to Qiaotou and embark on a hiking adventure with your guide. Spend the night in the gorge, enjoying the stunning views and fresh mountain air.
Day 11: Tiger Leaping Gorge
Continue the hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in the world with your guide. Transfer from Tina’s guesthouse to Wumu village without a guide. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the local area or relaxing in your hotel.
Day 12: Wumu Village
Embark on a one-day trekking tour in Wumu village with a local Chinese guide. Learn about the culture and traditions of the local Naxi people, visit their homes and fields, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Day 13: Shangri-la
Transfer from Wumu to Shangri-la without a guide. Check-in at your hotel in Shangri-la. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the ancient town.
Day 14: Shangri-la
Take a day trip to visit Songzanlin Monastery and Pudacuo National Park with a guide. Marvel at the stunning landscapes, learn about the Tibetan culture and religion, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Day 15: Shangri-la
Enjoy a free day to explore the ancient town of Shangri-la at your own pace. Visit the local markets, hike to the nearby hills, or relax in your hotel.
Day 16: Chengdu
Transfer for your flight Shangri-la – Chengdu, transfer from Chengdu airport to your hotel in Chengdu. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the local area or relaxing in your hotel
Day 17: Chengdu
Visit the Panda Breeding Center in the morning with a guide. Spend the rest of the day exploring Chengdu’s attractions, such as the Wenshu Monastery, Jinli Old Street, or the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum.
Day 18: Departure
Transfer from your hotel to Chengdu airport for departure.
