1 How did you end up working in the tourism industry?
We have no CEO. I am one of the shareholders.
2 What inspired you to start this company?
The support of the German government and AFOS Foundation made the founding of the company possible. All the DMCs in the Philippines are rather mainstream.
3 Describe your first sale/customer:
Our first guest was Mr.Bouma from Namaste from the Netherlands. He travelled alone on a customized program.
4 What was your first tour like – and what has changed compared to your most recent?
It ran well. The tour was in November 2015. We now have so much more experience.
5 What part of the company are you most proud of and why?
Everything. No part in particular.
6 What do you feel sets your company apart from other DMC’s?
We offer experiential travel. Our itineraries are innovative and we understand the expectations of European and North American guests, in short western tourists (including Australia and other English speaking countries).
7 What does a standard working day look like for you?
Our office opens at 0900 and closes at 1730, every day except Sunday.
8 What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Passion for life and travel.
9 What keeps you up at night?
Nothing. I go to bed at 0900 and get up at 0430.
10 What other CEOs do you look up to and why?
Lee Kuan Yew, the prime minister of Singapore. He made really something out of nothing. Our favourite statesman and CEO!
11 Where do you see the company in 5 years?
Hopefully alive and kicking. It will be hard work.
