Come and explore the charismatic city of Cape Town with our 4 Day Cape Town Package. Explore all the attractions of this beautiful city from the top of Table Mountain and delve into the history of the city at the Castle of Good Hope, District Six and Robben Island. Go on a tour of the Cape Peninsula passing through charming fishing villages such as Hout Bay, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek. Stop off at the lighthouse in beautiful Cape Point and admire the views. See the colony of endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach.
Travel up the West Coast to see the spectacular annual spring flower display when the country is carpeted in flowers. Take in the beauty of the Langebaan Lagoon where you may spot whales. Go on tour of Robben Island, a World Heritage site where three of South Africa’s presidents were former political prisoners. There will also be time to dine at some of Cape Town’s fantastic local restaurants and cafes as well as enjoy the nightlife.
Day 1: Cape Town City Tour
Today, you can spend seeing all the highlights of the City of Cape Town. We suggest that you add on our Full Day City Tour excursion which will take you from the heights of Table Mountain and through the diverse neighborhoods and cultural history of this fascinating city.
Day 2: Cape Peninsula Tour
Spend today exploring the scenic Cape Peninsula. Travel through many small coastal towns such as Hout Bay and Fish
Hoek with their picturesque fishing harbours known for their crayfish and snoek. If it is open you will travel the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Noordhoek before continuing on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This area of the park is fenced and you may see bontebok and eland.
At Cape Point you can climb up and admire the view from the lighthouse. En route back you will stop at Boulders Beach and see the comical, endangered African penguins. You will pass through the naval town of Simons town which is famous for Just Nuisance the dog.
Day 3: Cape Town Craft Beer Tour
Today, you will enjoy a craft beer tour of Cape Town. Beer may well be the national alcoholic drink and in recent years as many as 38 craft breweries have been started in Cape Town. You will visit the SAB Miller Brewery first so that you can compare the artisanal producers you meet with them. The tour ends in a beer garden where you can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing.
Day 4: Robben Island Tour & Departure
You will take the ferry across the bay to Robben Island and visit the maximum security prison where Nobel Prize winner and former president Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. The tour will be led by an ex-political prisoner who will tell you about their experiences in the prison. Kgalema Motlanthe, who also served as President of South Africa, was also a political prisoner on Robben Island as was the current former President of South Africa Jacob Zuma.
This is the last day of your package and afterwards you will prepare for your flight home or travel on to your next destination.
